Do you know the service life of hinge jiont fence?

Mar. 01, 2024

If the cattle fence is used outdoors for a long time, it will inevitably rust and corrode. At this time, the service life of the cattle fence depends on the protection of the product. The cattle fence is exposed to moisture due to the environment in which it is used. In such an environment, rust and corrosion will inevitably occur, so how long can it be used under normal circumstances?

Cattle fence mesh is mechanically woven from low-carbon steel wire or PVC-coated steel wire with high ductility and corrosion resistance. Several commonly used materials for making cattle fences generally include electro-galvanized wire, hot-dip galvanized wire, Galvan-plated steel wire, 10% aluminum-zinc alloy steel wire and new selenium-chromium-plated steel wire. The anti-corrosion properties of these materials are very different, and their service life is also different. Cold galvanizing of cattle fence is also called electroplating. The amount of galvanizing is very small and it will rust when exposed to rain. However, it is cheap and has a service life of 5-6 years. The zinc content of hot-dip galvanizing (low zinc and high zinc) is about 60 grams to 400 grams, the service life is about 20-60 years, and the anti-corrosion properties are average. PVC coating is to cover the original galvanized steel wire with a dark green or gray-brown mold to prevent corrosion of the wire diameter and help improve the anti-corrosion and anti-rust function of the wire diameter. Therefore, the better the material, the higher the price. Zinc-aluminum alloy cattle fence is the best metal mesh on the market, and its price is higher than that of hot-dip galvanized materials. The service life is about 80-90 years, and the anti-corrosion performance is excellent.

As the anti-corrosion technology of cattle fences improves, the performance of the steel wires used to make cattle fences will also improve, which will be of great help in extending the service life. The service life mainly depends on the environment of use and whether the construction operations at the time are standardized. Improving the operating standards during operation can also extend the service life.
