Black oxidation treatment of stainless steel rope mesh


In order to improve the anti-rust ability of steel parts, the surface of steel parts is oxidized into smooth ferric oxide with a strong oxidant. This thin layer of ferric oxide effectively protects the inside of the steel from oxidation. At high temperatures (about 550℃) oxidized ferric oxide is sky blue, so it is called blue processing. Ferric oxide formed at low temperature (about 350℃) is dark, so it is called blackening treatment.  


In weapon manufacturing, the blue processing of wire rope mesh is a common method. In industrial production, blackening treatment is a popular way. Whether the oxidation surface of iron and steel is dense and smooth ferric, the key is to choose a good oxidant. The strong oxidant is composed of sodium hydroxide, sodium nitrite and trisodium phosphate. Blue processing with the molten solution to treat the steel; When blackened, the steel is treated with an aqueous solution.
